Kavanagh Court
In 2014 GV8 (trading as Aurea Consult at the time) was engaged by Mullins Investments Limited to assess the daylight sunlight levels associated with a proposed development on Gardiner Street, Dublin 1. The proposed development related principally to the delivery of student accommodation within a 16,994 m2 purpose built facility.
Having completed a full suit of impact testing GV8 was able to conclude that the daylight levels associated with this project were in full conformity with BRE Guidelines.
Key Services Provided Included:
• Vertical Sky Component (VSC) testing to assess loss of skylight access to neighbouring accommodation.
• Annual Probable Sunlight Hours (APSH) testing to assess the loss of sunlight to neighbouring accommodation.
• Sun on Ground (SOG) testing to assess the loss of sunlight to neighbouring recreation spaces.
• Production of supplementary shadow casting imagery.
Dublin City Council granted permission for this development in September 2015.
